Denotation
In this poster, the very first thing that I see is the figure of a person; who seems to be wearing a long coat. The characters hair is at neck length as well and he is carrying a sword that seems to be shining from the suns rays. The background is the sky which has been made up of a combination of sinister and violent colours which leads me to believe that the setting of the movie may be in the near apocalyptic future. There are also several dark figures within the background and due to the type of pose the main image making; it can be assumed that a large battle is about to take place.

The title of the poster appears to have an ordinary font with a white font colour in order to help it stand out. I have also noticed that an outer glow has been used in order to make the title more interesting visually. The text used to describe the main cast has also got a white font colour which is used to the it stand out from the background; and also has italics on it.
